EMMAUS

Founded in 1903 at Laurel and Orange streets in Fountain Square, Indianapolis. Multi- generational families that have been a part of Emmaus since the founding still attend today and there is always room for new members. One hundred twenty years and counting, we are still here for the community and would welcome you to be a part of our worship service. Our Christ-centered lives are based on Christ crucified for all and forgiveness of sin. We strive to love and honor God, love our neighbors and follow the will of God in humble service.

Meet Pastor James A.D. Gramzow!

Born and raised in  Royal Oak, MI, in the heart of metro-Detroit, Pastor Gramzow is a shining example of a lifelong Lutheran education! He attended Our Shepherd Lutheran School in Birmingham and Lutheran High Northwest in Rochester Hills, before his B.A. in music, focusing on Church music, from Concordia University Nebraska. While at Concordia, he not only showcased his talent in the University Acapella Choir but also participated in the Pre-Seminary program. It was here he met his wonderful wife Jill, hailing from Texarkana, TX. After tying the knot in August 2022, they made their way to Fort Wayne, IN, where Pastor Gramzow pursued his Master of Divinity at Concordia Theological Seminary, serving vicarage in sunny Naples, FL, and set to graduate in May 2026. In April, he fully received the Divine Call to serve as the Pastor of Emmaus! Pastor and Jill are blessed with a beautiful son and are eagerly anticipating the arrival of little one this September! Pastor Gramzow enjoys organ music, gothic architecture, and presidential/military history.
